Das ist komplett richtig, SIG1 muss irgendwo ausgeschaltet werden.

Ich verstehe nur ein bisschen Deutsch. Ich werde auf Englisch erklären.

Re: Generating Bahn Layouts

For information, if anyone didn't know, there's this handy thing called Overpass API which will let you extract just the features you want, and will produce much smaller files that will be easier both for the generator and BAHN to process. Not sure if I've still got the scripts I used, but I was ...

Re: Generating Bahn Layouts

Or, you can copy the file ops2jbss.pm, from your C:\ops2\ into C:\Strawberry\perl\site\lib

It's not normally advised, but you can do that, and if you're on Windows and not likely to use Perl for anything else it will at least get it working. I've got a project on the back-burner to overhaul this ...

Re: Generating Bahn Layouts

For security reasons, recent distributions of Perl don't include the current directory in the include path.

You need to run it with the environment variable PERL_USE_UNSAFE_INC set.

Re: Bahn 3.89 compared to 3.88

One of the things that has made my life easier is distant signals accepting a switching function. This meant that three-aspect signals at junctions required an additional hidden signal. The one improvement I'd like to this feature would be the ability to use both at once to avoid repeating ...

Seconded. My current style is to put tunnels, overbridges, underground lines and fiddle yards underground.

Re: Making a country in BAHN

As I understand it, it is only the combination of base route and train number that must be unique.

Also, is there any way to completely ignore the base route (since I can't change it)?
That depends on what you mean by "ignore". Routing and data changes are driven mainly by the current route, and ...

Re: Making a country in BAHN

Hej Matias,

I have been wanting to make my country Denmark for a while in BAHN, but the huge undertaking has scared me. I am not sure how to do it, and the problem is that I want to do it right from the first try. I remember there was at some point (10-15 years ago) some layout made by a Dane, but ...

Jan, you're more than welcome to take them. If you need more details from me, send me a PM.

To be clear, the top ones are the original electric 70s designated CC, not to be confused with the new PowerHaul diesels.

Tool: Circles

I got bored and used some wholly inappropriate means to create some circles. People have complemented me on my curves in the past, but I've always had some niggling that some of them don't look right, particularly at large radii, so I've built these.

This "layout" has circles from a diameter of 4 ...

This has been a slow burn in the background.

Overall route mileage at 22%.
Valleys rails 98% laid (119+20/121+67). Missing only the loop at Aberthaw power station and the detail at the Barry Docks branch, which I suspect is now effectively closed.
Other South Wales rails 28% laid (97+31/345+57 ...

Re: Generating Bahn Layouts

You need to run the import against a blank layout, otherwise (as you've found) it'll add to whatever's already there.

Imports for large areas will take a long time. One of the things you can do to cut this down is to change the settings in the extractor to use just the railway and coastline ...
